Responsibilities
Greeting patients entering the physician practice
Answering office phones, making and confirming appointments, and rescheduling when necessary
Checking in patients and collecting accurate demographics, entering data into the electronic system, and verifying insurance
Assisting in checking out patients and helping with referral processing and scheduling
Collecting co‑pays and posting charges
Charge entry and patient balance processing
Distributing information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and practice details
Explaining and enrolling patients in the patient portal
Sign‑On Bonus $500 Sign On Bonus
Education High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.
Certification Preference for healthcare management/administration certification.
Experience Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
