Base pay: $28.00/hr – $32.00/hr
Position Summary Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; determining and recommending improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change.
Responsibilities
Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines on all Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
Create and process work orders; perform diagnostics using technical and electronic equipment on various Walmart equipment, including tractor engine components, electronics, drive trains, and HVAC.
Assess maintenance, repair, and replacement needs; identify needed parts and possible solutions; consult with others and select best solutions.
Conduct repairs and replacements for drivetrain components, communication equipment, onboard technology, and HVAC systems per DOT guidelines.
Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling; monitor safety compliance; prepare and ship samples; complete paperwork.
Identify and perform warrantable repairs; enter accurate information; complete warranty tags; retain parts per warranty guidelines; process warranty claims.
Work as part of a team, build strong relationships, communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
Act with integrity, maintain high standards, hold self and others accountable, and support Walmart’s regenerative goals.
Deliver results while putting the customer first; make decisions based on reliable information and consider impact on stakeholders.
Display curiosity, learn continuously, take calculated risks, and drive continuous improvement; embrace new technologies and support others through change.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years’ experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
Brake inspection qualified (FSMCA regulations §396.25); vehicle inspection qualified (FSMCA regulations §396.19).
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Office proficiency.
ASE Certification - Transportation; Driver’s License Class F.
