Job Details Position Overview
This role supports the production floor by fabricating, repairing, and modifying molds and die components used in manufacturing operations. The position requires strong blueprint interpretation skills, hands‑on machining experience, and basic CNC programming capability. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working across manual and CNC machining environments.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and design data to fabricate and repair molds and die components
Perform basic CNC programming and understand applicable G‑code and M‑code functions
Analyze drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, machining sequence, and setup requirements
Select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates based on material and part specifications
Set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC machines
Establish reference points and cutting paths for machining operations
Calculate angular and linear dimensions, radii, curvatures, and machining sequences
Conduct trial runs on new programs and adjust as needed to ensure accuracy and quality
Perform machining work from blueprints or verbal tolerances
Support production needs by troubleshooting tooling and machining issues as they arise
