Specialist – Accounting
– SpectraCare Health Systems, Inc. – Administration Office, Dothan, Alabama.
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30 am–5 pm; Friday 7:30 am–11:30 am. Alabama State Retirement Option.
Responsibilities
Prepares and reviews accounting and financial reports and helps to ensure accurate accounting systems and record keeping.
Maintains computerized fixed asset accounting system and files.
Prepares daily bank deposit.
Performs other accounting duties as required or as requested by the CFO or Controller.
Maintains regular attendance with timely arrival and departure according to scheduled hours; all absences must be reported to the Controller, his/her designee or Chief Human Resources Officer.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
At least one year of bookkeeping experience required.
Experience using accounting software such as Quicken or QuickBooks as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years accounting experience.
Some governmental accounting experience preferred.
