Position Summary
This position is located at our Administrative Office in Dothan, Alabama. Work hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM‑5:30 PM and Friday 8:00 AM‑12:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Establish electronic personnel file and maintain it for all employees, including new hire data, internal transfers, and terminations or resignations.
Manage the development, implementation, upgrades, and maintenance of the HRIS system and its modules, interfaces, and day‑to‑day support activities. Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge base and understanding of technology trends and best practices relevant to HRIS management.
Educate all staff on utilizing the HRIS database.
Perform e‑time maintenance in HRIS, prepare time and leave adjustments for payroll transmission, and oversee system attendance violations within the time and attendance platform.
Enroll supervisors in the time and attendance system.
Coordinate with the IT department and/or Paycor to resolve time‑clock issues.
Develop, write, execute, and deliver reports as required, including annual EEO‑1 reporting and other necessary reports.
Serve as a backup to other HR Generalists and/or HR‑Secretaries during absences, including Friday afternoons when needed.
Perform other duties as specified by the Director.
Maintain regular attendance with timely arrival and departure according to scheduled hours.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with specialization in Human Resources or Business.
Working knowledge of federal and state laws as they pertain to Human Resources.
Three to five years’ experience in human resources functions.
Three to five years’ experience in HRIS.
Experience in computers and clerical work, including HRIS.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with specialization in Human Resources or Business.
Five or more years of human resources experience with a heavy emphasis on employee relations.
HR certification preferred.
