Administrative Volunteer Needed in Flatbush!
Services for the UnderServed's Flatbush Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team involves street outreach to people with severe mental illness whose needs have not been met by more traditional approaches. The ACT Team provides service and medication directly to individuals wherever needed. The team includes a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, LPN, Vocational, Substance Abuse, Wellness, and Family specialists. Volunteers will help file program documentation into charts, organize community resources in a program resource binder, prepare resource flyers for the team to distribute to clients, organize supply closets, and help archive charts and files. All supplies will be provided. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity. Flatbush ACT is open to volunteers Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Because volunteers will be working with confidential information, they are required to undergo background checks and fingerprinting. Familiar and/or comfortable working in an environment that provides support to people with mental health diagnoses. A High School Diploma. Friendly with organizational skills. Population Served
Homeless, low‑income communities, people with disabilities, people with health‑based concerns. Requirements
Age minimum (with adult): 18+; minimum age: 18+. Volunteer Availability
After expressing interest in one or more dates and times you would like to volunteer, your availability will be sent to the Opportunity Leader who will review and confirm when you should attend. You need to add at least one day/time to your schedule. What is the period of time you'd like to volunteer for the days and times you've listed above? Put in the Start Date and the End date for the schedule you're proposing.
