Marketing Account Executive – Work Comp Insurance
Strategic Comp, part of Great American Insurance Group, is seeking a Marketing Account Executive for work‑comp insurance with strong knowledge of and relationships with key insurance agencies in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and/or Louisville. This remote role requires traveling up to 60% of the time, including overnight trips, and includes a company car. The position focuses on marketing products and services through the independent agency system, achieving high renewal retention and profitable growth of new business.
The successful candidate will serve as the front‑line underwriter, handling new business submissions, gathering additional data, and presenting accounts to the Underwriting Department with a strategy for successful order placement. This role is not a traditional “marketing rep” position; it involves in‑depth work comp account management and renewal work.
Responsibilities • Market products and services through the independent agency system in the designated geographic territory. • Achieve high renewal retention and profitable growth of new business. • Communicate and manage relationships with agents, underwriting department, and Account Executives who work with insureds. • Present new business submissions directly to the Marketing Account Executive and develop strategies for successful order placement.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree. • At least 10+ years of experience in production underwriting or marketing commercial insurance on large accounts, preferably in workers’ compensation. • Additional experience in underwriting, loss control, or claims is a plus. • Knowledge of the independent agent system and strong relationships with key agencies in the territory. • Must reside in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, or Louisville.
Salary & Benefits Salary range: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellness plans, parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan, and commuter benefits.
