What You Will Contribute Badger Meter seeks a 1st shift Assembler for our Milwaukee Plant. This role will be trained for the right candidate and involves manual and automated assembly, testing, injection molding, and packaging of meter products. The position requires maintaining efficient production, ensuring high quality, and observing safety standards in a clean, air‑conditioned facility. The assembly process may include rotating through multiple workstations and occasionally working in other department areas.

Major Job Duties / Accountability

Perform assembly of meters, leak testing, and packaging while following safety guidelines.

Operate meter accuracy and leak test equipment to determine product acceptability.

Use computer to check schedules, obtain part drawings, set up work procedures, and update manufacturing status.

Follow dispatch lists or production schedules to meet daily output targets.

Operate plastic injection molding machines and perform secondary operations such as degating, sprue removal, and drilling.

Operate and tend to multiple machines simultaneously, as needed.

Inspect parts visually and with inspection tools, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure quality standards.

Perform part counts, prepare identification tickets for outgoing materials, and load, unload, and deburr parts.

Qualifications

1+ year of relevant experience.

High school diploma preferred.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to pass forklift and hazmat training if applicable.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Maintain open communication and positive working relationships with staff.

Basic math skills.

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Require wearing personal protective equipment most of the day.

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
