Production Maintenance Technician (Fort Worth, Onsite) Life Unlimited. At Smith+Neb we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. The Process Technician IV will perform all activities involved in the aseptic processing of biologic products. All duties are performed in compliance with FDA and Smith+Neb Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The candidate should have a commitment to high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

Perform and lead routine preventive maintenance for all packaging and filling equipment to ensure optimum performance.

Set up, sanitize verification, daily start‑up, tune, and repair packaging and filling machinery to meet production requirements and assist other Maintenance Technicians with changeovers.

Follow safety precautions to prevent product contamination and injury.

Evaluate quality and troubleshoot operational issues, using a defined trigger‑point system to communicate urgency to management.

Assist in the preparation of documentation applicable to the scope of operations.

Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing efficiencies and compliance and assist with projects.

Assist with technology transfer from R&D to the manufacturing environment.

Perform cleaning and preparation of all equipment necessary for daily manufacturing of products.

Participate in the championship of the 5S program.

Maintain appropriate inventories of supplies within the production area.

Become an expert in selected key areas of interest.

Perform housekeeping and general upkeep throughout the production area.

Work with Manufacturing Supervisors to prioritize and coordinate supplementary manufacturing duties.

Assist with Manufacturing Technician training.

Participate in the Manufacturing Mentor Program.

Follow batch production records (BPRs) and SOPs to manufacture biologic products.

Operate line equipment, including orientation/training of production personnel on proper operation of production equipment and meeting all filling and assembly requirements related to primary and secondary packaging.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience on a fill line in a regulated environment.

Open to flexible hours and ready to adapt to changing schedules.

Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is mandatory.

Skilled with good documentation practices.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi‑disciplinary, multi‑cultural team as a group leader, facilitator, or participant.

Physical Demands Ability to lift at least 20 lb, to stand or sit continuously for at least 4 hours.
