Overview The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) partners with families, caregivers, and the community to strengthen families, ensure safety, and achieve permanency for all Arizona’s children through prevention, services, and support. As "Compassioneers," we protect and support the safety, well‑being, and future of vulnerable children and families across the state.
Responsibilities
Support children and families under the direction of a Case Manager
Provide direct services in Department of Child Safety programs
Transport clients and ensure proper use of child safety seats
Schedule appointments and coordinate services
Supervise parent‑child visits
Refer clients to community resources
Attend court hearings and required meetings
Document client interactions and activities
Provide general case management and clerical support
May be required to work outside of regular hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Qualifications
Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships with children, parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members
Demonstrate compassionate communication and active listening during sensitive situations
Use attention to detail for clerical tasks such as data entry, file maintenance, and document preparation
Collaborate effectively with case managers, supervisors, and service providers in a team‑centered approach
Utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and mobile technology to communicate, schedule, and document work
Safely transport children to appointments while maintaining compliance with driving and safety requirements
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory 39‑month driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Employment history, Central Registry, and public record will be considered
