Customer Service Associate - Temporary
Base pay range:
$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr
Responsibilities
Model a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
Share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items.
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
Maintain clean and well‑merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, keep records, and price merchandise as directed.
Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies, rotate stock using first‑in‑first‑out, and restock items.
Use store systems and equipment effectively.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and suggestive selling of photo products.
Assume web‑pick‑up responsibilities: monitor orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers upon arrival.
Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.
Basic Qualifications
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
