Job Title: Customer Service Representative – Benefits Counselor
Pay Rate:
$23 - $24.50/hour
Job Type : Contract till June with pos for ext or conversion
Position Overview We are seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives to support a high-volume contact center environment. This role focuses on assisting customers with benefits-related inquiries, enrollments, and issue resolution while delivering a high level of service and professionalism.
This is a structured, schedule-driven customer service position offering paid training and the opportunity to work remotely with a reputable organization committed to employee development, diversity, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound customer service calls and document all interactions accurately in Salesforce
Respond to standard and complex customer inquiries via phone and email
Research and resolve customer issues, following up as needed through outbound calls or email
Provide clear, informed responses using appropriate reference materials
Request and track missing or additional customer information
Document and elevate client issues to appropriate teams for resolution
Troubleshoot basic website and system-related issues
Assist customers with enrollment in life and health insurance products
Support customers with payments, payment inquiries, and claims processing
Maintain flexibility and adherence to a structured work schedule
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of customer service or sales experience
At least 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic computer troubleshooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Licensing Requirements (Mandatory) Candidates must hold
active insurance licenses
in the following states:
Required (all)
Michigan (MI)
New York (NY)
Massachusetts (MA)
Additionally, licensed in at least 3 of the following
New Jersey (NJ)
Maryland (MD)
Pennsylvania (PA)
Connecticut (CT)
Candidates must provide proof of licensing by submitting an

Preferred Qualifications
Prior call center experience
Active Life and Health insurance license
Experience with Group Universal Life, Medical, Dental, Vision, Accident, or Critical Illness products
