Position Title:
Maintenance Technician
Reports to:
Maintenance Supervisor

N/A
Summary The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the facility, grounds, and production equipment are properly maintained and operating efficiently. This hands‑on position requires a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing systems, and involves independently troubleshooting and performing both preventative and corrective maintenance. The technician is responsible for supporting production uptime, ensuring workplace safety, and maintaining the overall integrity of the facility.
Job Duties
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility infrastructure
Diagnose and repair minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues
Assist with installation, setup, and troubleshooting of new equipment
Maintain clean and organized maintenance workspaces and storage areas
Complete routine facility upkeep including painting, 6S implementation, and general repairs
Perform exterior grounds maintenance including debris removal and building upkeep
Manage waste disposal and recycling duties across the facility
Maintain and inspect equipment and tools to ensure proper function and safety
Document maintenance activities and report any hazards, needed repairs, or supply shortages
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls and support production during downtime
Maintain compliance with all workplace safety regulations and company procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements
Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor based on operational needs
Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or facility setting
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety guidelines, and work instructions
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Willingness to work occasional off‑hours or weekends as needed
Equipment Used
Basic and advanced hand tools
Electric and pneumatic power tools
Ladders, carts, and lifting equipment
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Physical Requirements
Corrected vision to 20/20
Ability to work while standing, kneeling, or bending for extended periods
Ability to repetitively lift and move up to 40 lbs
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
