Property Manager – Bronx, NY Base Pay Range:

$32.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Location:

Bronx, NY – Onsite, 5 days per week.

We are looking for a bright, energetic Property Manager to lead the day-to-day management of a portfolio of Supportive Housing, HUD and Tax Credit properties in the Bronx. The role reports directly to the VP/Area Manager overseeing the portfolio.

Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience supervising a portfolio of affordable housing assets and managing a team of direct reports.

Responsibilities

Provide effective, professional customer service to residents and stakeholders.

Effectively manage staff to ensure deadlines are met and protocols align with company policies.

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with tenants, staff, and agencies.

Manage the assigned portfolio with expertise and efficiency to achieve financial and operational objectives, including reviewing purchase orders for accuracy.

Maintain tenant/landlord relations and address issues promptly.

Collaborate with the Facilities Director, building superintendents, and maintenance staff.

Review tenant ledgers and subsidy registers monthly.

Monitor and enforce lease violations in conjunction with lease requirements.

Ensure that annual unit inspections are performed.

Collaborate with the Facilities Director on the certification and removal of building violations from various NYC agencies.

Respond to various agencies regarding inspections, annual compliance audits, and building inspections.

Ensure annual certifications are completed.

Correspond with and communicate with city agencies in a timely and efficient manner.

Understand HUD EIV reports.

Qualifications

Associates Degree (60 or more college credits) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Proficient in Yardi Voyager, Microsoft Excel, and Word.

Knowledgeable of city and federal agencies (HPD, DOB, ECB, HDC, HUD) and their certifications, violations.

Certified Low‑Income Tax Credit Specialist preferred.

3+ years managing affordable residential rental properties.

Supervisory experience of 3+ years.

Working knowledge of NYS Rent Stabilization regulations, NYC Landlord‑Tenant Laws, Fair Housing mandates, and other relevant legal issues.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for daily tenant interaction.

Strong writing and communication abilities.

Knowledge of SiteCompli a plus.
