Overview
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is looking for a highly organized and outgoing circulation manager to oversee magazine circulation, subscription services, customer service, production assistance and office management for Montana Outdoors, one of America’s premier fish and wildlife agency magazines. This job is part time (20 hours per week) and located in Helena, Montana, centrally located to many outdoor opportunities. The circulation manager will be part of a dynamic team of communication professionals and integral to FWP’s outreach efforts. Responsibilities
Manage the circulation of Montana Outdoors magazine to ensure financial solvency and reach audiences of greatest value to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure on-schedule delivery within budget. Provide direct customer service (answering phones and emails daily). Handle payments from subscribers and assist the art director and editor with tracking articles, photographs, payments, and related support tasks. Carry out various office management duties. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, businesses, and FWP staff. General accounting principles, basic letter and email writing, grammar and English usage, and computer proficiency. Customer service (telephone and in person), Excel, and office operations/administrative support. Knowledge of Montana geography (towns, lakes, rivers, mountain ranges) and general fish and wildlife species. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and revise priorities; ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in an interruptive office setting. Knowledge of basic marketing concepts and educational programs is a plus; knowledge of magazine production and fulfillment is a plus; familiarity with social media and content management platforms is a plus. Minimum Qualifications
Combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and three years of job-related experience in magazine circulation, customer service, or office management. Other combinations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Additional Information
