Overview The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football," Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6‑4 victory.
Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Coach for Football. The key duties of the position include:
Assist in the coordination of an intercollegiate athletic program and demonstrate an understanding of the technical knowledge of the sport of Football, with the ability to develop student‑athletes to their full potential.
Salary Details A range of $100,000 - $3,000,000. Final salary will be based on qualifications, experience, expertise, and available departmental or grant funds. Rutgers is committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation packages.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree.
Certifications / Licenses
A valid driver's license is required. Use of personal vehicle may be necessary for travel related to business demands.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA rules related to recruiting and proper rules of play in football.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to communicate with student‑athletes and the media.
Computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
Collegiate football coaching and playing experience.
Equipment Utilized
Computer, email, editing equipment, recruiting database software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Nights and weekends will be required.
Special Conditions
Clean driving record.
