Responsibilities
Coordinate the new hire process, distribute exit interviews, track and monitor responses, and conduct background checks/investigations.
Maintain up-to-date employment records and personnel files, process personnel actions accurately and timely, input employment information into the Human Resource Information System, and retrieve historical data as needed. Maintain employee garnishment files and forward all received garnishment notices to the Resource Center.
Provide support during the open enrollment process, serve as a benefits specialist for employee populations, address benefits questions as needed, process benefits changes in a timely manner, conduct benefit audits, and maintain benefits accrual information.
Perform Workers Compensation review, injury report analysis, and OSHA reporting.
Ensure proper authorization of payroll actions and validate/organize payroll checks prior to distribution.
Input employee work schedules into workforce timekeeper system and enter time records via the exceptions report.
Maintain applicable records for state and federal reporting.
Distribute exceptions reports to supervisors/managers and prepare management reports as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
One year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
One year of computer experience, including proficient use of spreadsheets and word processing, preferred.
PHR Certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
