Overview
We are looking for a Resident Service Technician based in Ohio to support after-sales maintenance operations for robotic forklifts installed at customer sites across the Americas region. Objective In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and maintenance of BALYO robotic solutions at customer sites. You will provide hands-on hardware technical support and act as a key link between BALYO and its customers. Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair a fleet of robotic forklifts at a primary customer site (up to 10% travel to secondary sites) Troubleshoot and repair robotic lift truck equipment, including lasers, sensors, and communication systems Perform preventive maintenance tasks (lubrication, cleaning, replacement of worn parts) Document action plans, interventions, and final resolutions for all support services Calibrate robotic AGVs to ensure optimal performance Conduct routine inspections, testing, and quality checks Perform robot retrofits and hardware upgrades Support installation phases and project ramp-up Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to customer users when required Test new hardware and support continuous improvement initiatives Profile & Qualifications
3–5 years of mechanical experience in automotive, aviation, or forklift maintenance Experience with electrical forklifts as a technician is a strong plus Solid knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and charging systems Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset Professional appearance and attitude Proficiency with MS Office Suite (preferred) Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) is a plus, not required Fluent in English; Spanish or French is a plus Ability to pass a background check High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred Location
