As a Customer Service Rep II, you will be responsible for processing death claims, payouts, and modifying future payments. You’ll handle inquiries via mail, fax, phone, and email, often requiring interaction with the annuitant or client and follow‑up for missing or inaccurate information. This position is remote, with the option to work at our Amarillo, TX office.
Responsibilities
Process death claims, payouts, and modify future payments
Respond to customer phone calls and written correspondence
Research, analyze, and resolve moderate customer service inquiries within acceptable standards
Enter key data for customer service requests within department quality guidelines
Handle high‑priority requests efficiently and accurately
Assist in completing paperwork for a variety of benefit transactions (phone and mail)
Process participant change requests (address, EFTs, etc.) within department standards
Maintain benefits to ensure payments are correctly directed to payees
Coordinate duties and tasks through effective priority setting and time management
Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of insurance experience, preferably with immediate or deferred annuity products
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Customer‑ and team‑orientation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Multitasking in a high‑volume environment with tight deadlines
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Windows
Some college preferred (not mandatory)
Bi‑lingual is a plus
Work Location Remote (optionally based in Amarillo, TX)
Compensation The anticipated salary range is $30,000 to $35,000 at commencement. Compensation is dependent on factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Position also eligible for discretionary bonus per incentive plan.
