As a Data Center Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting Oracle’s cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for hardware installation, troubleshooting, structured cabling, and maintaining the operational health of our data centers. This hands‑on role requires a proactive, process‑oriented technician with strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.

This position involves working on a 24/7 shift rotation.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

2+ years of hands‑on experience in data center operations, ideally in high‑performance computing (HPC), AI infrastructure or related technical fields.

Prior experience in a hyperscale data center or similar large‑scale IT environment is preferred.

Direct experience working with AI hardware, such as NVIDIA H100, AMD MI300, NVIDIA A100, or similar GPU‑based accelerator systems is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in server hardware installation and troubleshooting (e.g., Dell, HPE, Cisco).

Experience with high‑performance storage systems (e.g., NVMe, SSD) and network infrastructure optimized for AI workloads.

Experience with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

Understanding of high‑throughput networking (10/25/40/100GbE), InfiniBand, and RDMA for data center communication.

Familiarity with operating systems, including Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).

Understanding of data center cooling, power distribution, and backup systems.

Experience with cable management and physical infrastructure best practices.

Problem‑Solving:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve technical issues.

Ability to diagnose issues across multiple system layers, from hardware to network to application.

Certifications (preferred):

CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.

Cisco CCNA or equivalent.

Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) or similar certifications.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.

Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow detailed processes.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) and work in physically demanding environments.

Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise, and other physical conditions typical of a data center to include standing/walking long hours and working on ladders.

Willing to work night and day shift along with weekends.

Willing to work at multiple locations in the Metro PHX area.

Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Hardware Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage devices, network equipment, and other hardware components in the data center. Perform regular hardware inspections, upgrades, and replacements.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve hardware and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Troubleshoot a variety of systems including server infrastructure, networking equipment, and power distribution units (PDUs).

Network Support: Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting network connections, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal data flow.

Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Operations Managers) to coordinate installations, upgrades, and problem resolution. Communicate with external vendors and service providers as needed.

Safety & Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental guidelines, and company policies.

Compensation and Benefits US: Hiring Range in USD from $32.84‑$67.88 per hour; from $68,300‑$141,200 per year. May be eligible for equity.
