Social Worker I – Health Services Court-Involved (CI) Multiple full and part time positions are available throughout Maryland. This recruitment is for professional clinical social work at the intermediate level with direct services to clients in a health setting.

Job Summary The Social Worker I provides direct social work services to court-involved clients in hospitals, residential facilities, clinics or local health units. The role requires evening and weekend hours. No supervisory duties or responsibilities are assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and licensure as determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners under the licensing requirements for Social Workers. Candidates must be licensed as a Graduate Social Worker (by June 30, 2018), Master Social Worker (after July 1, 2018) or Certified Social Worker prior to appointment. Applicants who do not yet hold a license may also apply pending receipt of the license. When the license is obtained, submit a copy to the Maryland Department of Health Testing Unit.

No experience is required. The job is open to individuals who have successfully obtained the appropriate license and meet the licensing criteria.

Applicants appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess an appropriate operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
