About the Role As a Customer Service Rep II, you will process death claims, payouts, and future payment modifications. You’ll handle inquiries from customers via mail, fax, or telephone, requiring direct interaction and follow‑up to missing or inaccurate information. The role is remote with option to work from our Amarillo, TX office under our hybrid policy.
Responsibilities
Processing death claims, payouts, and modifying future payments
Responding to customer phone calls and written correspondence
Researching, analysing, and responding to moderate customer service inquiries within acceptable standards
Key data input for customer service requests within department quality guidelines
Handling high‑priority requests efficiently and accurately
Providing necessary assistance in completing paperwork supporting a variety of benefit transactions, both phone and mail
Processing other participant change requests within department standards
Maintaining benefits to ensure correct payment to payees
Coordinating duties and tasks by effective prioritisation and time management
Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of experience, preferably with immediate or deferred annuity products
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good problem‑solving and analytical skills
Strong customer and team orientation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask and handle high volume with tight deadlines
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Windows
Some college preferred but not mandatory
Bi‑lingual is a plus
Work Location This position is currently designated as remote but has the option to be based in our Amarillo, TX office, subject to our hybrid policy.
Compensation The anticipated salary range is $30,000 to $35,000 at the start of employment, plus a discretionary bonus in accordance with the applicable incentive plan.
