Overview Pridestaff is currently seeking a

Maintenance Technician III

for a manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This is a full-time, contract-to-permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.

Hourly Pay Range: $30-$33

Shift: Work an Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) — a 12-hour shift alternating weekdays and weekends (4/3) from 5pm to 5am. Some training may be needed on the day shift.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: Essential to the client’s Packaging operations; responsible for maintaining production machinery and equipment, the physical plant, utilities, and grounds for the facility. Major duties include conducting and refining preventive maintenance programs, supporting plant modernization and expansion projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and improving equipment availability and reliability. Responsible for meeting safety, production, quality, food safety and performance standards.

Follow safety guidelines, wear designated personal protective equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.

Using Maintimizer to pull work orders and complete assigned tasks.

Support daily service calls and other plant activities to maintain daily production operations.

Work with maintenance parts clerk to accurately identify replacement parts and other miscellaneous items (electrical parts, mechanical parts, utility components, etc.).

Complete assigned work orders and other maintenance responsibilities from the plant’s maintenance lead.

Work unsupervised on assigned tasks.

Perform work in accordance with safety and health policies and procedures; ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment.

Ensure the physical plant, grounds, production machinery and equipment, and utilities are maintained in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations and company standards.

Perform varied maintenance duties including safety inspections, work orders and preventive maintenance to meet established maintenance and operations objectives.

Be accountable for all projects, repairs and/or improvements on the line as well as maintaining preventative maintenance.

Organize work for smooth, efficient operations; track time and materials used to perform work orders and repairs using manual and electronic systems.

Transfer waste oil to DOT-approved drums; manage labeling, material handling, and storage of hazardous materials and waste, including universal wastes like fluorescent bulbs.

Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate necessary repairs.

Obtain prior approval of the Maintenance Manager for all maintenance purchases; follow purchasing and receiving procedures.

Maintain all tools in good and safe condition and ensure tools are returned to their proper location.

Flexibility to include shift changes and overtime; must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Lift up to 40 pounds.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent

Completion of two (2) years at a technical or trade school; degree highly desired

Five (5) years relevant experience; journeyman level in at least one of the following crafts: electrician (including PLC experience), millwright (including hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping)

Experience in general plumbing, electrical systems, conveyors, PLCs, and ability to troubleshoot; working knowledge of presses and converting equipment preferred

Basic computer skills required
