Surety Territory Manager
We are currently seeking a
Surety Territory Manager
who will be responsible for the profitable growth of our surety lines of business, including production, underwriting, sales and service. The role requires managing territory development in the Midwest, building positive agency relationships, and maintaining hybrid work from the Midwest office (or remote from IN, IL, or MO) with travel throughout the region. A valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.
Responsibilities The Surety Territory Manager is responsible for the contract surety line of business, managing commercial surety experience, production and agency management. This includes:
Driving profitable growth of the surety lines of business
Managing territory development and agency relationships in the mid‑west region
Overseeing production, underwriting, sales and service functions
Analyzing financial information, credit reports, contracts and bond obligations
Training end users on surety automation systems
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (relevant experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis)
Minimum of eight years of relevant surety experience
Advanced local knowledge of the environment, surety agents, competitors, bond forms and bond language
Strong analytical skills for financial information, credit reports, contracts and bond obligations
Proficiency with surety automation systems and the ability to train users
Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills
Problem‑solving abilities, sound judgment and decision‑making
Ability to determine customer needs, provide solutions and price business appropriately
Valid driver’s license

Salary range: $114,640‑$176,545 annually. This estimate is based on education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
