Job Summary Under general supervision this position collaborates with department chairs to continuously advance and enhance bachelor degree programs. The Program Coordinator develops and maintains employer partnerships to support internships, field experiences, and job placement for program graduates. The role ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations while managing accurate databases for enrollment, completion, and placement outcomes.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain partnerships with employers to facilitate internships, field experiences, and job placement for program graduates.
Stay informed on State‑level curriculum changes and ensure program compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Maintain accurate databases and reports for student enrollment, program completion, and job placement outcomes.
Identify and coordinate student internship opportunities.
Communicate with Florida public school districts and charter schools to keep security clearance and drug screening processes current.
Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Student Services, and call center staff to provide updated program information and events.
Promote program awareness through classroom presentations, recruitment activities, and career‑related initiatives.
Coordinate and participate in recruiting events and assist with special division events.
Work with department chairs to review and update program application materials and related documents.
Monitor bachelor’s degree program applications and deadlines; initiate additional advertising as needed.
Collaborate with the web developer to ensure timely updates to program webpages.
Meet with students as needed, both by appointment and walk‑in.
Verify course and class information and assist with clerical tasks, including coordinating paperwork flow and indexing admissions documents.
Complete other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Two (2) years of work experience in career assessment, career planning, and career training programs; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience providing the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Valid Florida driver’s license.
Knowledge of recruitment, enrollment, advisement, registration, dual enrollment, and career training programs at a college level.
Knowledge of budgeting and marketing.
Skill in planning, organizing, time management, solving problems, and prioritizing.
Skill in developing and delivering presentations.
Skill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based.
Physical Demands This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty‑five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines such as copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other necessary equipment. IRSC expects employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
