Multimedia Design Specialist
Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana are looking for a Multimedia Design Specialist to join our team and help improve oral health through benefit plans, advocacy, and community support. We are one of the largest dental plan administrators in the country and are part of the Delta Dental Plans Association. This hybrid position based in Okemos, MI, offers the opportunity to work on marketing, communications, and brand initiatives.
Responsibilities
Creates compelling visual content to support the organization’s marketing, communications, and brand initiatives
Develops high-quality multimedia designs for internal and external audiences, maintaining consistency with brand guidelines
Designs visual content for materials such as advertising, social media, websites, presentations, and print collateral
Prepares and packages files for print production, ensuring accuracy and quality output
Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to maintain brand consistency and deliver cohesive messaging
Builds and maintains relationships with external vendors for promotional items, banners, signage, etc.
Requests quotes, coordinates purchases, facilitates sample reviews, and supports research for new products and materials
Makes website content updates; designs digital assets such as web graphics, social media content, and other online marketing assets
Designs and produces email marketing communications and related landing pages for sales initiatives, internal communications, and provider communications
Stays current with design trends, tools, technologies, and best practices, including AI‑driven design advancements
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in graphic or commercial art or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
Three years of experience as a graphic designer
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), word processing, presentation software
Knowledge of motion graphics, web design, email marketing, and video editing
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving skills
