Job Title: Medical Affairs Manager – Diabetes / Data Products Overview Reporting to the Director of Medical Affairs, this role serves as a key member of a cross-functional franchise team, providing medical leadership to support the development, lifecycle management, and global growth of diabetes-related device and data product initiatives. The Medical Affairs Manager acts as the medical project lead, guiding strategy from early development through end of life to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based innovation. Key Responsibilities Provide medical leadership and strategic guidance to cross-functional project teams, influencing global product direction and decision-making. Serve as the medical subject matter expert in diabetes management, standards of care, published evidence, and key opinion leader insights. Shape medically sound product design requirements, assess user and system risks, and advise on risk mitigation strategies. Partner with Clinical Affairs, Human Factors, and User Experience teams to define study needs, evaluate outcomes, and confirm risk control effectiveness. Inform and support evidence generation strategies to meet regulatory requirements and support competitive product claims. Translate clinical and real-world data into meaningful insights for regulatory submissions, commercial messaging, and product value narratives. Gather medical intelligence through collaboration with Medical Science Liaisons, investigators, and advisory boards. Support medical go-to-market strategies, including professional education, conference presentations, and healthcare provider engagements. Contribute to the assessment and development of educational programs that promote safe and effective product use. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Life sciences degree with 5+ years of experience in medical affairs, medical strategy, clinical, industry, or research roles related to diabetes and/or medical devices. Demonstrated experience with diabetes technologies (e.g., insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring) or related therapeutic areas. Preferred Advanced degree or healthcare certification (e.g., PA, NP, RN, RD, CDCES, PharmD). Skills & Competencies Proven ability to develop and execute medical strategy within a Medical Affairs function. Strong understanding of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, treatment pathways, and outcomes. Experience designing research studies and interpreting clinical data. Excellent medical communication skills across diverse internal and external audiences. Strong cross-functional collaboration, business acumen, and technical understanding. Knowledge of U.S. and global medical device regulatory environments. Highly organized, self-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. High ethical standards in all interactions with healthcare professionals and stakeholders. Proficiency with standard business and medical communication tools. Location & Travel Hybrid or remote role. Up to 15% travel within North America and internationally, depending on location.
