Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

to join our team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional virtual care experiences.

Position Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide critical support to our telehealth endocrinology team. The CMA will work closely with providers, patients, and internal eddii team members to ensure seamless virtual visits, maintain accurate records, and deliver patient-centered care. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual passionate about improving health outcomes in a digital-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Coordination

: Prepare patients for virtual visits by reviewing medical histories, updating charts, and gathering necessary information. Schedule and manage telehealth appointments.

Clinical Support

: Assist providers during virtual appointments by documenting visits, managing follow-ups, and ensuring all patient questions are addressed.

Administrative Tasks

: Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Coordinate lab orders, prescription refills, and referrals as directed by providers.

Care Delivery Assistance

: Help onboard patients to the eddii-Care platform and other care tools, ensuring they understand how to access eddii resources. Monitor and triage patient inquiries through the eddii platform or other communication channels.

Qualifications

Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in endocrinology or chronic disease management. Proficient in telehealth platforms, electronic medical records (EMR), and general computer applications. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients across all age groups. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Passion for patient education and improving health literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in virtual or hybrid care environments. Familiarity with diabetes management, chronic endocrine condition management, and multi-generational patient populations. Multilingual skills are a plus.
