*Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled COTA (PRN) to deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OTR/L to help residents restore function, improve safety/independence in ADLs, and enhance quality of life in a skilled nursing/rehab setting. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide rehabilitative services to residents. The OTA assists in helping residents develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills, promoting independence and safety in the skilled nursing facility setting.*Duties*Resident Care & Treatment:* Implement and carry out occupational therapy treatment plans established by the OT.* Instruct residents in the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to increase independence.* Assist residents in improving fine motor skills, coordination, self-care, and ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).* Observe, report, and document resident progress and responses to treatment.Documentation & Compliance:* Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and billing information in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.* Communicate with OT and interdisciplinary team regarding resident status and goals.* Maintain documentation in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer guidelines.Collaboration & Communication:* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning sessions.* Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and safety practices.* Communicate resident needs and progress to therapy team, nursing, and family as appropriate.Safety & Infection Control:* Follow all infection prevention and safety protocols.* Ensure therapy equipment is maintained, sanitized, and stored properly.* Report any changes in resident condition, incidents, or concerns promptly.*Requirements** Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (required).* Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).* Licensed or certified as an OTA in the state of employment (required).* Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric rehabilitation preferred.* Knowledge of SNF therapy regulations including Medicare Part A and B.* Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, and move residents or equipment (up to 50 lbs).* Exposure to resident bodily fluids and infection risks.* May require weekend, holiday, or flexible shifts based on facility needs.If you are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of your patients through dedicated physical therapy services, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.Job Type: Full-timePay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In personby Jobble
