Responsibilities Boss Shops can offer everything you need to start or continue your career in the Diesel Repair Industry.
Perform trailer Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and DOT inspections.
Troubleshoot, repair, and conduct body damage repairs from the mobile maintenance truck on customer yards, drop yards, and distribution centers.
Conduct electrical, brake, wheel end/seal evaluations and repairs.
Perform all minor repairs, including tire services and greasing trucks and trailers.
Perform complex welding such as rail section repairs, setting and welding scam bushing and brake chamber brackets.
Complete CSA/DOT inspections according to regulations.
Keep the mobile maintenance vehicle clean, uncluttered, and stocked.
Maintain all service equipment (jacks, tools, trucks) in working order and repair them when needed.
Sell tires and parts, ensuring profit margins and trade guidelines.
Manage parts and tires inventory placement.
Complete work orders with customer information, labor, parts, warranty details, and photos.
Ensure customer satisfaction and the integrity of Boss Truck Shops.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Stay current on LMS training.
Provide friendly and competent customer service.
Report work in a timely manner when scheduled.
Additional Job Duties
Assist in other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications Education and Experience
At least two (2) years diesel technology experience.
Tire Service Certified by TIA.
DOT Medical Card.
Successful completion of the Boss Truck Shops Tech I and II training program.
Complete OSHA Skills Demonstration.
Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical and DOT training.
Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, TIA and other certifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver's license and insurance to drive.
Skilled in welding.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as needed.
Reliable transportation and phone.
English communication skills (if applicable).
Friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
Ability to work cooperatively with other team members.
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs. Frequently stand, walk, use hands, fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear; occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
