About This Job
Nosco is looking for a Die Cutting Operator at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility.
As an employee owner in this position, operate our carton die‑cutting asset to perform the second step of digital folding carton production. The purpose of this position is to produce digital folding cartons in order to meet on‑time delivery, high‑quality expectations, and all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate a carton die‑cutting press per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
Troubleshoot machine problems pertaining to equipment and set up. Perform testing as required and determine corrective actions to achieve passing results.
Assist in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion through attributing and effectively communicating with downstream operators).
Perform clean‑up/maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
Perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meet expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.
Qualifications
Preferably +2 years of die‑cutting experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
Experience with basic quality systems and documentation.
Flexibility to work any shift and overtime. Work in a fast‑pace environment with ability to deal with change.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read a ruler to 1/64”.
Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, work at a computer for extended periods and have manual dexterity for computer work; long periods of concentration; speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.
