Facilities Maintenance Technician
in Jackson, MI 49201. The position is 100% onsite at 1100 Technology Dr.

Shift & Training
During training: first shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
After training: second shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm.
Ability to work weekends and overtime is required.
Responsibilities
Understand and comply with facility safety rules and regulations.
Work safely in a chemical hazardous area with appropriate PPE.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment such as pumps, gears, motors, valves, and other utilities (HVAC, boilers, air compressors, etc.).
Fabricate equipment as needed (metal welding, TIG, MIG, stick, cutting, plasma, angle grinder).
Inspect machines for malfunctions through visual checks and scheduled testing.
Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on production machinery.
Conduct emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain cleanliness of machinery and adjacent workplace, following scheduled inspections.
Follow work orders for service, modification, or installation of machinery.
Assist the Maintenance Team Lead and other employees with work orders as directed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in maintenance field required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fabrication preferred.
Proficiency with hand and power tools required.
Willingness to learn pipefitting and welding required.
Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, metal fabrication, and electrical preferred.
Work shift flexibility (first or second shift) required.
Availability for weekend and overtime work required.
Potential to work at heights for brief periods.
