Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Location: 1100 Technology Dr, Jackson, MI 49201 (100% onsite)
Training schedule: first shift 6:00am-2:30pm. After training, second shift 2:00pm-10:30pm.
Qualifications
Potential to work at heights for a short duration.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in maintenance field required.
Minimum 1 year with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fabrication preferred.
Ability to work hand tools and power tools required.
Willingness to learn pipefitting and welding required.
Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, metal fabrication, electrical preferred.
Ability to work first shift and second shift required.
Ability to work weekends and overtime required.
Responsibilities
Understand and comply with facility safety rules and regulations.
Work in a chemical hazardous area with appropriate PPE.
Install, maintain and repair industrial equipment: liquid pumps, centrifugal, gears, air motors, valves, actuators, conveyors, building utilities (HVAC, boilers, air compressors).
Fabricate equipment with or without provided drawing (metal welding TIG MIG Stick, metal cutting, plasma, angle grinder).
Inspect machines regularly for malfunctions (visual, noise, scheduled testing).
Identify and respond to malfunctions and troubleshoot production machinery.
Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance and service for each equipment.
Perform emergency repairs on mechanical, electric, hydraulic machinery.
Maintain machinery and adjacent workplace cleanliness; schedule inspections, service, testing.
Comply with work orders for service, modification, installation of machinery.
Assist Maintenance Team Lead and other employees with work orders; observe and work with other maintenance staff at all times.
Listed Salary Range $20.00 - $22.00
