Overview
Midwest Refrigerated Services is a full‑service 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry. Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48‑state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100 trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler, air‑conditioned storage, distribution, and cross‑docking services. We operate refrigerated and non‑refrigerated warehouses for storage needs but also offer value‑added services such as specialty packing, kitting, and fulfillment.

Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision and support to shipping office personnel.
Ensure compliance with all MRS policies and standard operating procedures.
Address and resolve issues involving customers, carriers, and drivers.
Manage Over, Short, and Damaged (OS&D) claims.
Maintain accurate documentation for accessorial charges.
Oversee employee performance and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
Monitor operations to ensure alignment with benchmarking standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve system‑related issues.
Contribute to hiring and staffing decisions through feedback and recommendations.
Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions held outside of regular hours.
Take part in incident investigations and reporting processes.
Provide coverage for other supervisors during scheduled time off.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills Required
Proficient in basic computer operations and fundamental math skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Capable of both following and providing clear, effective instructions.
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate within a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Comfortable interacting with and supporting various levels of management.
Prerequisites
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
Prior leadership experience in a warehouse setting (preferred).
Familiarity with RF‑controlled inventory systems.
Experience handling food products (plus).
