Material Handler

Job Description

Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times; leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.

Adheres to all safety rules of Amcor and the Logistics team.

Ensures that Automated Stretch Wrappers remain working efficiently and in proper working capacity.

Continuously monitors and maintains system dunnage levels (slip sheets, wrapper film, empty pallets, etc.).

Finishes production room processes by wrapping finish goods (if applicable) and performing a Script 41 – Move on product coming directly off the wrapper to scan goods to storage location.

Understands and abides by all set standards and guidelines within the Warehouse Department.

Loads/unloads and troubleshoots logistics equipment (Wrappers, Dock Locks, Garage Doors, Battery Charging Stations).

Understands and adheres to all ISO & SQF guidelines and policies.

Takes and scores highly on all yearly HR required MyDevelopment courses.

Takes and scores highly on all GDC Training courses deemed necessary by Safety.

Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.

Responsible for placing product in designated rows in warehouse neatly and evenly.

Provides production area with needed raw materials.

Ensures labeling and packaging are correct prior to moving product into warehouse by understanding how to read a traveler.

Communicates with warehouse and production leadership daily.

Responsible for loading trucks to customer specifications; verifies quantity, product, labeling and packaging is correct.

General housekeeping of warehouse and dock areas.

Ensures all trailers are properly inspected and corresponding documentation is filled out properly prior to loading.

Uses problem‑solving skills to handle situations that may arise.

Performs any other tasks or projects assigned.
