Warehouse Material Handler
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Morganton, NC.
Position Details Pay: $17.12 per hour (Hourly Pay) Schedule: First Shift Employment type: Contract Location: Morganton, NC

Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) A clean driving record and a personal vehicle; travel within the area 25-50% of the day Valid Forklift Operator's License certified Strong technical aptitude: using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; scanners; enter orders into WMS System One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs Ability to stand for long periods Ability to work indoors and outdoors Flexible schedule across shifts Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team; team player in diverse environment Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, with good attendance record Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices High degree of initiative; accurate work even under pressure Must have a valid Driver's License and meet Ryder's driving qualifications Perform duties independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting Responsible for accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading/unloading of trucks Complete day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.) Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of contract Perform other duties as assigned
