Position Description
Ryder is immediately hiring a
Permanent Full Time Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator
in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Hourly Pay: $17.12 per hour
Schedule:
First Shift Monday‑Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Maintain accurate picking and packing, audits, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading trucks.
>Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading. Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during production hours.
Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean driving record and personal vehicle; travel within the area 25–50 % of the day.
Valid Forklift Operator’s License (certified).
Strong technical aptitude (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, WMS entry).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 35 lbs with equipment.
Capacity to work indoors and outdoors; flexible schedule across shifts.
Strong verbal and written communication; teamwork and independence.
Dependable, punctual with good attendance; high accuracy under pressure.
Proficiency in health and safety methods; ability to stand for long periods.
Valid driver’s license meeting Ryder’s driving qualifications.
