All Employees will accrue Personal Time (PTO) and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
Sick Pay will be accrued, with a maximum of 48 hours applied to each employee's policy and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.
Birthday off with pay

Once Upon a Childcare is looking for a Young Toddler Teacher to join our team! We work every day to create a supportive, family environment where your contributions are valued and you matter to us as a person, not just an employee. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with children from one to two years old, with up to ten children daily.
Responsibilities
Help the lead teacher implement lesson plans suitable for children in your care
Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
Track children's progress and report to parents
Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.
Collaborate with other educators.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is a plus!
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classroomsExcellent communication and instructional skills
Ability to act as a mediator between children
Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
