Lead Manufacturing Planner , that is responsible for end-to-end material flow and execution across the manufacturing operation. This role owns production planning and scheduling, material availability, shop‑floor execution, and day‑to‑day logistics to ensure production commitments are met safely, efficiently, and on time.
This is a hands‑on leadership role that sits at the intersection of planning and execution. The Materials Manager turns demand into an executable plan, ensures materials are where they need to be, and actively manages constraints, priorities, and changes as they occur on the shop floor.
What You’ll Do...
Production Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and near‑term production schedules aligned to demand, capacity, and material availability
Translate demand signals (customer orders, forecasts, program needs) into executable production plans
Balance priorities across work centers, programs, and constraints
Identify capacity, labor, or material constraints and proactively drive mitigation plans
Own schedule adherence and continuously improve planning accuracy
Materials & Operational Execution
Ensure materials are available, staged, and issued to support production schedules
Oversee material movements, kitting, line‑side inventory, and point‑of‑use delivery
Actively manage shortages, expedites, substitutions, and re‑prioritization when conditions change
Serve as the primary point of coordination between teams
Drive daily execution rhythms (stand‑ups, shortage reviews, schedule recovery actions)
Shop‑Floor Logistics & Inventory Control
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, transactions, and process discipline
Define and improve material handling processes to reduce waste, congestion, and delays
Partner with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize receiving, stocking, and internal transport
Use data to drive improvements in schedule attainment, material availability, and inventory health
Participate in ERP/MRP/MES process improvements and system adoption
Support new product introductions, ramp‑ups, and operational changes
You have...
Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering
5–7+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or manufacturing operations
Demonstrated experience in production scheduling and shop‑floor execution
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and material transactions
Experience working cross‑functionally with operations, procurement, engineering, and quality
Ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and real‑time execution challenge
Strong problem‑solving skills with a bias toward action
Excellent communication skills—able to align teams and elevate issues appropriately
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizen ship is required, as only U.S. Citizen s are eligible for a security clearance.

Experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or regulated environments
Experience supporting make‑to‑order or mixed MTO/MTS environments
Exposure to multi‑site operations or rapid scale‑up environments
APICS/CPIM or similar certification (preferred, not required)
