Purpose: The Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees the warehouse operations of each retail store, supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators. The role supports the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.

Major Responsibilities

Daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving products efficiently.

Direct day‑to‑day warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.

Manage Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging.

Maintain warehouse equipment; develop preventive maintenance programs and communicate necessary repairs to CEM or Operations Manager.

Implement warehouse safety programs that meet OSHA regulations.

Ensure all associates receive training and follow standard operating procedures.

Manage progressive disciplinary processes—counseling, oral and written warnings—to maintain a productive labor climate.

Handle employee inquiries and resolve problems.

Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.

Complete Activity Reports for management.

Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entry.

Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.

Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP.

Stage products for counting and inspection.

Store products properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.

Oversee inventory rotation within the warehouse.

Perform other related duties as directed by management.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

1‑3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center.

Excellent interpersonal, team‑building, delegating, and follow‑up skills.

Ability to work effectively with other departments.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Competent with basic mathematical calculations.

Strong computer skills; proficient with Windows‑based systems.

Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.

Availability for extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Working Conditions (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

Frequent exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles. Noise level is typically moderate to noisy.

Physical Work – Ability to exert 30‑60 pounds of force occasionally, 20‑30 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Requires standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Hands and fingers are frequently used for handling and feeling. This role may also involve the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
