What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Assist the Building Maintenance Superintendent in planning and organizing maintenance activities
Supervise the maintenance, repair, and alteration of public buildings and equipment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance operations
Coordinate and oversee the work of maintenance staff and contractors
Maintain records and reports related to maintenance activities and expenditures
What is Required (Qualifications)
Completion of two years of college or trade school coursework in construction or a related field
Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in building construction, maintenance, or repair
Experience at the level of a Public Buildings Supervisor or a similar classification
Valid driver's license from the state of residence
Strong leadership and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Additional certifications in building trades or maintenance management
Experience with public sector maintenance operations
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
Proficiency in project management software
Familiarity with budget management and cost control in maintenance operations
