Position Summary
Reynolds Asphalt & Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable
Accounts Receivable Specialist
to support billing, collections, and cash application for our asphalt paving, milling, and materials operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate job-based billing, managing customer accounts, and supporting cash flow through timely and effective collections. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and issue customer invoices for paving, milling, and materials sales Verify billing accuracy using job numbers, load tickets, scale tickets, delivery logs, and approved quantities Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances Communicate professionally with contractors, municipalities, developers, and private customers regarding payment status Apply customer payments (check, ACH, wire, cash) accurately by customer and job Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies Assist with documentation when applicable for lien waivers and notices Prepare accounts receivable aging and other AR-related reports Support month-end and year-end closing activities Work closely with managers, dispatch, plant staff, and sales teams to resolve billing issues Perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable experience required Construction, asphalt paving, aggregates, or materials industry experience strongly preferred Required Skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to interpret job documentation such as job numbers, tickets, and delivery records Minimum Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office > Intermediate Level Strong organizational and time-management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Professional approach to customer service and collections Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer Frequent use of hands and fingers for data entry and keyboarding Ability to view computer screens and printed materials for extended periods Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally Work Environment
Office-based position within a construction/asphalt operations environment Regular interaction with field personnel, plant operations, and project management Occasional overtime may be required during peak construction season or month-end close Equal Opportunity Employer
