Senior Accountant
for a key on‑site position. Our client operates in a fast‑paced sector where multi‑entity and international experience are crucial for this role. Job Type: Permanent | Salary: $90,000 – $105,000 per year | Work Hours: 8 to 5 | Location: Irvine, California.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Perform technical accounting functions, including P&L analysis, management reporting, and variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to ensure accuracy across all cost centers.
Full‑Cycle Accounting:
Lead month‑end activities, including journal entries, complex account reconciliations, accruals, and the preparation of supporting schedules.
Operational Partnership:
Act as a financial advisor to Department Managers, providing G&A cost center analysis and helping them understand their financial performance.
Specialized Accounting:
Manage debt, interest, property tax returns, and business license filings.
A/R & Treasury Support:
Oversee customer statements, payment applications, wire transfer entries, and the processing of commission payments.
Audit & Compliance:
Support external audit requests and ensure all activities remain in strict accordance with
GAAP .
Process Improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance internal controls, and assist with system implementations.
Strategic Insight
Analyze
Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) , margins, and overall profitability.
Track and report on
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
to drive business decisions.
Manage financial data for
multi‑unit
operations, ensuring consistency across all locations.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience as a Senior Accountant or Financial Analyst.
Technical Skills:
NetSuite
proficiency is highly preferred.
Advanced Excel
skills (complex formulas, Pivot Tables, V and X lookups, etc.).
Regulatory Knowledge:
5+ years of deep working knowledge of
GAAP .
Communication:
Strong ability to collaborate across departments and translate data into actionable insights for leadership.
