POSITION OBJECTIVE The Electrical Technician is responsible for electrical, electronics, and maintenance of all equipment. Performs other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Industrial maintenance degree or similar from a state certified technical school or community college is required. Completion of a 4-year electrical apprenticeship can be substituted

10 years of experience in industrial electronics minimum is required

Basic computer knowledge

Must have good communication skills

Experience with PLC controls and variable speed drives

Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends and evenings as needed.

Also must be able to work on‑call as needed

Must be able to read electrical schematics

The ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plus

Can work with limited supervision (ie. night shift)

Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non‑standard work hours as necessary

Capable of effectively managing job‑related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

All skills, knowledge and job duties of Electrical Technician Sr.I.

Fill in for Electrical Supervisor as needed.

Troubleshoot and repair PCs.

Troubleshoot and repair PLC (S5/S7) issues.

Commission micromaster drives for simple applications.

Replace complex control components with new or different components.

Program Sick laser scanners.

Set up and replace light curtains.

Replace and set up safety relays, simple drives, temperature controllers, soft starts and HMI panels.

Assists Maintenance technician in the lubrication and repair of mechanical equipment

Maintain all equipment in good running order

Ensure that job site is clean and free of hazards

Maintains good housekeeping and safety practices when running equipment

Interacts and communicates with Production supervisor during shift and assist on production line when needed

Maintains professional certifications and keeps updated on all procedures and policy changes; keeps training up to date

Operates all maintenance equipment safely, follows LOTO procedures at all times

Manufacturing Environment

Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
