Principal Duties and Responsibilities St. Margaret Mary School is seeking a dedicated social studies teacher to serve as a Long‑Term Substitute Teacher. This position will begin January 2026 through the end of the school year in May 2026. This role covers courses such as U.S. History, World History, and Geography. The ideal candidate will maintain strong instruction, build positive relationships, and keep students engaged in meaningful learning.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Deliver lessons and assessments using the provided curriculum and materials
Maintain a structured, supportive, and respectful classroom environment
Provide daily instruction, feedback, and classroom supervision
Collaborate with department staff as needed
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Implement lesson plans
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Teaching certification preferred
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Previous experience as a long‑term substitute teacher is a plus
