Verus Research is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Subcontracts Administrator

to support our growing operations within the Department of Defense (DoD) aerospace contracting environment. In this critical role, you will manage the full life cycle of subcontract administration from solicitation and award through closeout, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations and company policies. You will play a key role in maintaining Verus Research’s approved Contractor Purchasing System (CPS) and advancing our commitment to operational excellence and compliance.

The

ideal candidate

will have demonstrated experience in issuing and managing a wide range of subcontracts and purchase orders, preparing solicitations and source selections, negotiating terms and conditions, supporting proposal activities, and ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company purchasing system requirements. The Subcontracts Administrator will work closely with program management, contracts, procurement, and finance teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant subcontract execution.

Success in this demanding role will stem from:

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum of 5 years of experience in subcontract administration or procurement, preferably in a DoD or aerospace contracting environment

Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government subcontracting principles

Demonstrated experience supporting or operating within a Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) environment

Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements and flowdowns

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
