Job Description Sirius Staffing is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist in Whitsett, NC. This role supports the quality assurance activities (ISG), including auditing raw materials and finished products, auditing manufacturing processes, and supporting new product introduction through testing and reliability evaluation.
Pay: $32 / hr | 1st Shift
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
Support root cause analysis activities and corrective actions.
Perform cosmetic and functional inspections of raw materials and finished products.
Analyze audit results against established standards and procedures and support analysis of non-conformities in materials, products, or processes.
Support quality audits of local suppliers, including training internal employees and suppliers when required.
Monitor and reduce scrap rates by analyzing material loss during production.
Monitor quality and manufacturing KPIs (FPY, TPY, OOB) and perform root cause analysis.
Prepare quality reports and collaborate with Engineering to support process improvements and definitions.
Support internal auditors during manufacturing process audits, including evaluating compliance with procedures, equipment controls, and environmental conditions.
Ensure required testing (durability, safety, functionality) is completed and meets quality standards.
Support XCSA and CSA (Customer Quality Experience) testing, simulating end‑customer use when required.
Plan, identify, and ensure availability of measurement equipment; confirm disposition of non‑conforming material, including scrap.
Perform inspections and measurements in dedicated processes, including NPI (New Product Introduction).
Support continuous improvement and quality maintenance initiatives.
Provide guidance and clarification to Quality Auditor I.
Ensure proper care and handling of quality equipment.
Maintain compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of quality control standards, procedures, and tools (Ishikawa Diagram, PDCA, FMEA, 8D Root Cause Analysis)
Experience with sampling plans
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Strong problem‑solving & collaboration skills
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
Proficiency in using quality testing equipment and software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced team environment
Experience with quality assurance and quality control processes
Experience performing inspections of raw materials and finished products
Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs (FPY, TPY, OOB)
