QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED
Education:
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field (or 8 years HR experience in lieu of degree)
Certification:
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or ability to obtain within first year required
Leadership Experience:
2-3 years supervisory experience; prior HR leadership experience required
HR Expertise:
Talent acquisition, training, employee relations (moderate to complex issues), performance management, employee communication
Technical Knowledge:
Employment laws, labor relations, benefits plans, FMLA, ADA, Leave of Absence administration
Professional Competencies:
Excellent consultative skills, multi-tasking in fast-paced environment, independent decision-making, sound judgment
Communication:
Effective written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
Diversity:
Commitment to diversity initiatives and cultural sensitivity
Additional:
Experience with low-income, multicultural environments preferred; valid Wisconsin Driver's License with adequate insurance
WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Human Resources Manager, you'll lead people strategy by:
Planning, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programs, and practices
Supervising and directing two Human Resources Generalists
Maintaining and enhancing the HR department's effectiveness and service delivery
Managing talent acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding processes
Handling moderate to complex employee relations issues with consultative approach
Overseeing performance management systems and employee communication strategies
Ensuring compliance with employment laws, FMLA, and ADA
Leading diversity initiatives and ensuring culturally responsive HR practices
Managing compensation, benefits, training, and leave administration
Developing and delivering effective employee communications
Working consultatively with all organizational levels to support mission achievement
