We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Technician to serve as a technical leader within our electrical repair and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, engineering collaboration, and mentoring junior technicians while supporting mission-critical hardware in a controlled, quality-driven environment.
What You'll Do
Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on multi-layer PCBs, electromechanical systems, and high-value assemblies Lead repair efforts for mission-critical or non-standard hardware requiring deep technical expertise Collaborate with engineering on failure analysis, corrective actions, and design-for-repair improvements Develop, validate, and improve work instructions for new products and repair processes Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for troubleshooting, repair strategy, and test methodologies Train and mentor Electrical Technician personnel on repair techniques, documentation, and quality standards Support internal and external audits including AS9100, DCMA, and customer reviews Drive continuous improvement through lean initiatives, process optimization, and defect reduction Provide input on tooling, equipment, and process capability needs What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in electronics repair, manufacturing, or depot maintenance Demonstrated expertise in advanced diagnostics and complex component-level rework Advanced IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, WHMA-A-620 preferred) Strong documentation, communication, and mentoring skills Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, and leadership teams Experience with automated test systems and corrective action methodologies a plus Ability to lift 25-40 lbs. and sit or stand for extended periods Fine motor skills required for micro-soldering and detailed rework Active SECRET security clearance required
