As the
Customer Service Representative , you’ll help patients check into the hospital. It’s fast‑paced on occasion and you’ll be the person they rely on to answer questions during registration. You’ll build trust in these interactions by collecting information accurately and quickly, while listening with compassion to address their fears, concerns, and questions.
You must be a confident multi‑tasker who is a quick study with technology, able to type quickly and answer phones. Prior experience or knowledge in healthcare is not required; we’ll teach you everything you need to know. Because it’s a hospital/lab environment, you should be prepared to see illness and injuries. You must also be up‑to‑date on all vaccinations, and pass a drug test and background check prior to hire.
Responsibilities
Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment, using multiple screens to collect details that must be input correctly between physician and nurse check‑ins.
Help people who may be very ill or worried. Patients need you to listen carefully and ease their anxiety; ask follow‑up questions and build rapport in real time.
Work quickly in a fast‑paced environment, often on your feet assisting patients. Collect patient and insurance information that varies with health plans and coverage; handle unexpected situations promptly.

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent customer service experience
For this U.S.-based position, the base pay range is $15.00 – $20.28 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
